Oak Tree plans denied

Plans to turn a pub into a supermarket have been denied for technical reasons.

The plans, submitted by Jay Patankar & Associates for a private client, aimed to turn the former Oak Tree pub at 132 Ryefield Avenue into a supermarket with four apartments above. LB Hillingdon say the plans were denied because they didn’t clearly label the proposals at the front of the pub, showing where the pavement would be raised, and had not clearly laid out their plans to the Highways Agency.

An appeal is expected.
