Nursing College moves into Uxbridge

A University nursing department has taken a lease on an Oxford Road building.

Buckinghamshire New University, whose main campus is in High Wycombe, has taken 40,000 sq ft on Oxford Road and will transfer Nursing students there from next September.

A university statement said that the Uxbridge location will benefit students in their work with the NHS, as they will be closer to the clinical areas where they undertake their placements.

Dr Ruth Farwell, vice chancellor of Buckinghamshire New University said: "The Uxbridge site will provide an ideal base for our nursing programmes as well as our applied research in health. We are delighted to have secured the agreement and look forward to having a West london location from September 2009."
