Notting Hill’s plans for 79 homes on Douglas Close have been approved.
The Rolfe Judd designed scheme involves 26 houses and 53 flats in five four-storey blocks on Uxbridge Road in Stanmore. LB Harrow approved the proposals on the recommendation of officers, who described the current state of the largely vacant estate on the site as “poor”.
36 of the homes will be affordable, including 14 of the houses, and the scheme also includes a children’s play area. Construction is expected to start in 2011.
