The road was closed to traffic and packed with 150 stalls selling everything from delicious food to stylish clothes.
The market was organised by Hammersmith & Fulham Council together with the North End Road Action Group, made up of local residents, businesses and stallholders.
Cllr Andrew Jones, Cabinet member for Economic Development and Regeneration, said: “I’m delighted North End Road’s second traffic-free market has been such a success, following the first one last Christmas. All the traders got right behind it and visitors seemed really happy. I hope we can organise further ones this year.”
Local artist Jon Bartell painted lush fruit to cheer up an empty shop front. “It was great to have the landlord’s support for this,” said Cllr Jones, “We’d love to brighten up more empty shops”.
