LB Hillingdon this week refused permission for Teso to build a store in Harefield.
Tesco had applied to Hillingdon Council to build one its Express stores in Harefiled High Street, but the planning committee refused the application this week.
A concerted campaign by local shopkeepers supported by Harefield councillors Henry Higgins and Richard Barnes was in part the reason for the refusal, but the Council also had concerns over the how the new building would fit into the street scene.
It’s thought Tesco may appeal.
