New London Architecture are organising a conference about White City on Friday May 18.
This NLA ‘on Location’ event, in association with the GLA, will examine the White City Opportunity Area.
The event will be held at the BBC Media Centre in White City from 9am to 4pm. It focusses on the new White City framework which sets out plans for mixed use commercial development focused on creative, media and biomedical research industries, a strengthened metropolitan town centre in Shepherd’s Bush Market and north of Westfield, along with 10,000 new jobs and 4,500 new homes east of Wood Lane.
The conference will be followed by lunch and an afternoon walking tour of the key sites in the opportunity area, led by the GLA and London Borough of Hammersmith and Fulham.
