Network get Wembley plans approved

Network Homes has been granted planning permission to redevelop their Wembley offices into more than two hundred new homes, subject to approval from the Greater London Authority.

Under the plans, their current eight storey office building on the corner of Olympic Way and Fulton Road will be demolished and replaced by a new building containing 253 new homes, 43 of which will be available under shared ownership and 34 for affordable rent.

Network have agreed to move to a new 59,000sq ft head office also in Wembley Park, due to be delivered in mid-2019, opposite London Designer Outlet (LDO).

The scheme also includes over 1,000 square metres of retail space, basement car parking for blue badge holders, new landscaping, and open space.

Developers say the building will be a single building in two parts connected by a link block.

The northernmost section, on the corner of Olympic Way and Fulton Road is to be 21 storeys while the southernmost is to be 15 storeys.

Cllr Shama Tatler, Brent Council’s Cabinet Member for Regeneration, Highways and Planning, said: “We are committed to providing a range of homes that people in the borough need and I welcome that this development will bring more quality affordable homes for Brent residents.

“As well as delivering crucial new homes and retail jobs, this is a great development which contributes to our goal of making Brent a place where people want to live and work.”
