Tesco’s planned Yiewsley store will be discussed at the Council Planning Committee on Wednesday.
The proposed Trout Road store was held over from a previous meeting on April 8 after failure to come to an agreement over the plans.
Along with the supermarket, the planning application includes 97 flats and car parking spaces facing the Grand Union Canal in Trout Road and High Street.
Residents and traders say the development would increase traffic in the area and have a detrimental effect on existing small shops, although others suggest the new superstore would be positive for Yiewsley providing extra jobs and housing.
The arguments in support of the development also state that the site is currently an "eyesore" and development would be beneficial in terms of a visual amenity.
