Hutchison Whampoa have submitted new plans for a redvelopment of the Lots Road power station site.
The plans, designed by Farrells for the site on Lots Road in Chelsea Creek replace previous plans, and are for a mixed development centred on a refurbishment of the redundant Lots Road power station building. It also involves ten new buildings providing a total of 297 new homes, with a 25-storey tower in RB Kensington & Chelsea, a new planning application for a five-to-six storey building containing 110 affordable homes, and a six-to-eight storey building containing 18 homes for market sale.
The plans also include a creekside path and amenity space, with all buildings designed to meet with Level 4 of the Code for Sustainable Homes.
The previous plans consented in 2006 were for a total of 382 homes. In the new plans, the affordable content of the scheme falls from 213 to 110, allowing a reduction in the height of one of the towers.
DP9 are handling planning.
