New plans have been submitted for the redevelopment of the western end of King Street.
The council has received a new full planning application for the partial demolition of the Town Hall Extension and the demolition of the cinema on King Street and the Registry Office and Friends Meeting House car park on Nigel Playfair Avenue, and the refurbishment of the Town Hall Extension and redevelopment of the remainder of the site to deliver new civic offices, 196 new homes, a new three screen cinema (to be operated by Curzon), shops, restaurants and bars, together with a new public square all on the 1.44ha site.
Helical and Grainger’s previous plans, while consented by LB Hammersmith & Fulham, were refused by the Mayor of London.
