NAMA to sell Arcadia?

ealing arcadia centreIt has been reported that NAMA – the irish state owned “bad bank” – is to sell Ealing’s Arcadia shopping centre to Benson Elliot.

The centre is part of the larger site formerly owned by irish developer Glenkerrin, who had a consent for a 570 home, 10,000sqm of retail development. Ealing Council had threatened a CPO to avoid the site being sold in small chunks, as they remain keen to see a major development brought forward which will link Ealing Broadway station more effectively to the Broadway itself, and make use of the space above the station. Now CoStar reports administrator Grant Thornton is selling the Arcadia Centre to investment manager Benson Elliot.

Benson Elliot have declined to comment at this stage.
