Morgan Sindall picks up work after Connaught collapse

Morgan Sindall’s affordable housing arm, Lovell, will pick up the £300m Ealing Homes maintenance programme following the collapse of Connaught.

Connaught’s high profile descent into administration has left a number of social housing frameworks in suspense, but Morgan Sindall bought the contracts from the liqidator and is expected to pick them up. Lovells should also pick up a similar £10m contract with LB Hounslow, and a smaller job in LB Hammersmith & Fulham.

There has been speculation that some of the prices might change – one of the suggested reasons for Connaught’s collapse is that many large contracts were obtained at too low a price.
