Lookwest are once again acting as facilitators and managers of the West London presence at MIPIM for 2012.

The Public Sector will be represented by the London Boroughs as in previous years. West London Business have also confirmed participation.

We intend to repeat the successful formula of last year, focussing on delivering relationships between Boroughs, Developers, Investors and Consultants. The programme will include:

About MIPIM

MIPIM (Marche International Des Professionelles dans Imeubles – www.mipim.com) is a trade show in Cannes, France. It is the world’s largest gathering of property developers and agents, drawing nearly 18,000 of them to 2011 event. It has become a place where cities, regions and sub-regions present themselves to that community as good investment destinations. London has had a significant presence for over a decade, as has Paris. Other cities, regions and countries present last year include Birmingham, Manchester, Leeds, Lyon, Frankfurt, Portugal, and many, many others.

Many city mayors choose to attend – The Mayor of London has been a regular attendee. The LDA are the key partner behind London’s presence. Other London/South East public bodies with representation are SEEDA, the Thames Gateway and the City of London Corporation.

As well as developers and their agents, and the public sector, attendees are also drawn from built environment consultants such as architects, and property directors from international occupiers such as Glaxo, Barclays and BT who are seeking to find new and alternative locations for their business units.
