Cllr David Millican has become the new leader of the Conservative party in Ealing Council.
The councillor for Northfields was chosen to head his party at the Conservative group’s AGM, reports the Ealing Gazette.
David Millican, who was a speaker at Place West London 2009, and who held the Regeneration & Transport portfolio when in cabinet, told the Gazette: “I’m delighted and humbled. I have been talking to my colleagues for many weeks trying to understand their aspirations and I’m very pleased they have put their confidence in me.”
Cleveland ward councillor Gregory Stafford was chosen as deputy leader.
