Catalyst’s plans for the Mill Farm Estate have been approved.
LB Harrow have approved Catalyst Housing Group’s plans to revamp the estate, replacing the existing homes, and adding 193 new homes, after 90% of residents backed the plans in a consultation. The £23 million scheme designed by Pollard, Thomas & Edwards architects, will also reduce the number of bed-sits and small flats, and provide more flats and houses with up to five-bedrooms.
Councillor Barry Macleod-Cullinane, portfolio holder for housing, told the Harrow Observer: “This transfer is a very positive move and we are happy with the result, which means we can renovate an entire estate and improve the lives of tenants. In this current climate, the transfer to Catalyst Communities Housing Association is the best way forward for the tenants of Mill Farm.”
