An application by locals to have a proposed site for new homes in Harefield designated a village green has not found favour with a planning inspector.
The MediParc, a name given to vacant land acquired by Comer Homes, has a proposal for 80 new homes which locals have been opposing since the site was cleared and closed in 2010. They have maintained the land should be given the designation since it has been in common usage for over 20 years. The planning inspector did not agree, and has recommended the application be rejected by Hillingdon Council, who will make the final decision.
