McGrath is interim LDA Chair

Harvey_mcgrath The London Assembly has agreed to recommend that the Mayor proceed with his appointment of Harvey McGrath as interim Chair of the London Development Agency (LDA).

The Mayor of London proposes to appoint Mr McGrath until 30 September, when a long-term appointment will be considered.

Members of the Assembly’s Confirmation Hearings Committee questioned Mr McGrath on his qualifications and experience, as well as what he sees as the key issues facing the LDA, and how he plans to restore public confidence in the organisation.

McGrath is vice chair of the London Skills and Employment Board, a former Chair of London First, and of hedge fund specialist the MAN Group. He is rumoured to be keeping the seat warm for Steven Norris.
