Macleod gets ambassador role

Mary Macleod, MP for Brentford & Isleworth, has been appointed a small business ambassador.

She is one of 12 chosen by Prime Minister David Cameron to champion and support small companies across the UK. She told the Hounslow Chronicle she is keen to encourage people – especially women – to start their own businesses.

Brentford & Isleworth already has one of the highest rates of business start-ups in the UK, with 590 new firms registered in 2011/12.
