Local elections make little change

Local election results appear not to have changed the political landscape in West London.

Barnet, a Labour target, in fact moved from no overall control to Conservative. Ealing, Brent, Harrow, Hounslow, and Hammersmith & Fulham were all Labour holds, the latter with a significantly increased majority, while the Conservatives held on to Hillingdon.

In the surrounding area, Slough was a Labour hold, Wandsworth stayed Conservative against expectations, Kensinton & Chelsea stayed Conservative despite Grenfell protests, with the only change being the LibDems taking control in Richmond.
