Quintain’s London Designer Outlet in Wembley Park enjoyed its best-ever Christmas after welcoming half a million visitors during the festive period.
Like-for-like sales were up more than 12% over the festive period compared with the previous year.
Matt Slade, Managing Director of Wembley Park, said: “Savvy shoppers helped LDO to defy the gloom on the high street and deliver record sales and visitor numbers this Christmas. A successful Christmas was a fitting finale to an outstanding year for LDO
which firmly cemented its position as one of the leading outlet centres in Europe. The combination of high street fashion and top brands at outlet prices, plus a wide range of quality restaurants and bars has proven a winning combination with customers across the capital.”
Kenny Edwards, General Manager of the Nike Factory Outlet store at LDO said: “We had a record Christmas at LDO. We smashed our sales targets – consumers couldn’t get enough
of Nike products”.
Dan Clark, Manager of Superdry said: “Black Friday and Boxing Day were the most successful days ever, breaking all records”
LDO attracted 6.5 million visitors in 2015. Retailers at LDO now include H&M, GAP, The North Face, Nike, SuperDry and Guess, and latest openings Levi’s, Sony and Franklin & Marshall.
Managed by Realm, LDO sits at the heart of Wembley Park. It has played a prominent role in attracting people, income and jobs to the area with more people visiting Wembley Park to go to LDO than for major events.
In September 2015 LDO unveiled the UK’s first retail skills academy for the outlet sector, providing its store employees with valuable training free of charge to help their careers in retail.
