Hammersmith & Fulham Council is offering unemployed young people, aged from 17 to 25, the chance to run their own pitches at Fulham market.
The scheme is part of the national Love Your Local Market campaign which aims to attract new market traders and highlight the importance that markets play in the community.
Cllr Greg Smith, H&F Council, deputy leader, said: “This is a great opportunity to give young people in need of some support the chance to make the most of their lives by giving them the experience of running their own businesses.”
The scheme will take place from May 15-29.
North End Rd Market has been in existence since the 1880s with stalls selling fresh fruit and vegetables, fresh fish, clothing, household goods, jewellery and many other items.
