Ealing’s programme of housing renewal continues as the redevelopment of Allen Court is put out to tender.
LB Ealing plans to regenerate nine estates in all, by engaingwith a develper partner on each who will take control of the estate, redeliver improved social housing and amenities, while also producing homes for market sale through densification.
The Green Man Lane, South Acton, Copley Close and Rectory Park estates have already been tendered. Now it is the turn of Allen Court, a single ten storey tower containing 65 flats in Greenford. Allen Court to provide high quality affordable and private homes. The housing regeneration scheme may also be expanded to the western side of the site which is currently occupied by 16 garages and also to a further site which is occupied by offices and storage rooms.
The OJEU notice says that applications are currently being invited for inclusion on a select list, and the closing date for the receipt of requests to participate is 4th December 2009. The final date for the dispatch of invitations to tender is 1st February 2010.
The Council expect to select the preferred bidder at the end of 2010, with work starting on site in 2011 with a 3-5 year construction programme. The Council are likely to sell the land to the appointed developer under a development agreement.
