Capital & Counties, part-owner of Earl’s Court and Olympia, is reported to be in talks with Land Securities over a £200m sale of the Empress State Tower, presently let to the Metropolitan Police Authority with over 10 years left on the lease.
Estates Gazette reports discussions are taking place about the former Ministry of Defence building, on which the developer spent over £100m on refurbishment in 2001/2. The EMpress State site is contiguous with the Earl’s Court exhibition centre site, which has been touted as a 7m sq ft mixed use development opportunity.
