Part of the Kodak Site in Wealdstone could become a waste disposal plant, it is reported.
The site is on a list of potential sites in West London being assessed as locations for a new waste disposal plant, reports the Harrow Times. It is reported to be highly ranked by the West London Waste Authority (WLWA), which is developing plans to overhaul waste management across the six West London boroughs.
Jonathan Nulty, assistant director of the WLWA, told The Times: The Kodak site is on the long list drawn up for the West London Waste Plan”. A complete list of sites for the waste plan is currently being prepared, and should be revealed when the plans go out for consultation early next year.
Harrow Council has said it is looking around the borough for a 3.5 acre site which could house a waste disposal plant.
