King Street development changes

king streetKing Street Developments have said they plan to reduce the height of the towers planned for their regeneration of western King Street.

The Hammersmith Chronicle reports that  King Street Developments, a joint venture between Helical Bar and Grainger, will reduce the height of the towers in the scheme after Hammersmith & Fulham Council told them they would require less office space in the scheme. The Council will get a replacement for the Town Hall extension space in the scheme at no cost to the public purse.

Calling the changes ‘significant’, King Street Developmment told the Chronicle: “The council’s acceptance of a smaller office building allows us to consider a number of important design changes in response to the consultation, without affecting the viability of the scheme.”
