Kilburn Neighbourhood Area and Forum applications submitted

An application has been submitted to Brent and Camden Councils to get Neighbourhood Forum status for Kilburn, and to set the boundary of the neighbourhood area which covers Kilburn High Road and spans both boroughs.

Approval of the applications would lead to a Neighbourhood Plan. Consultation is open until 15 April 2016. Brent and Camden Councils will then take a decision on whether to give the go-ahead to the proposed Forum and Area.

Councillor Margaret McLennan, Lead member for Housing and Development at Brent Council said: “It is good to see the local community stepping up to try and improve their local area in this way. Anyone who lives, works on or visits Kilburn High Road should certainly take a look at the proposals before we take a decision on the application.”

Councillor Phil Jones, Camden Council’s Cabinet Member for Regeneration, Transport and Planning said: “We are keen to support improvements to the Kilburn area and interested to know what the local community thinks about the application.”
