Kensal Library plans refused

Platinum Revolver’s plans to redevelop the former Kensal Rise Library have been refused.

LB Brent members went with the officer’s recommendation for refusal of the plans which would have converted the building to six flats, a cottage and a community hub.

The building had been gifted to LB Brent by All Souls College in Oxford, who still own it, on the condition it was used as a library. On closure of the library, ownership reverted to All Souls, who are reported to have agreed a conditional sale with Platinum.

Platinum are expected to appeal.
