Kensal Library plans refused

Platinum Revolver’s plans to redevelop the former Kensal Rise Library have been refused.

LB Brent members went with the officer’s recommendation for refusal¬†of the plans which would have converted the building to six flats, a cottage and a community hub.

The building had been gifted to LB Brent by All Souls College in Oxford, who still own it, on the condition it was used as a library. On closure of the library, ownership reverted to All Souls, who are reported to have agreed a conditional sale with Platinum.

Platinum are expected to appeal.
