A new campaign has been launched to back housebuilding in West London and around the country.
“Just Build Homes” says that , over the last three years, there have been over 2 million objections to planning applications – an average of 80 objections an hour. The campaign argues that this does not represent general public feeling towards building homes – they point to research from the British Social Attitudes survey saying that 57% people support housebuilding in their area and that most objections are submitted from just 6% of the population who are strongly opposed to development.
Just Build Homes say they have been established to give a voice to “the silent majority who support housebuilding in their area”.
