John Lewis consults on Park Royal closure

John Lewis has opened consultation on closing its distribution centre in Park Royal.

The company plans to relocate to operations to Milton Keynes by 2016. It plans to consult its 560 staff who are employed at Park Royal. Up to 450 new jobs will be created in Milton Keynes, and a further 200 at a new site still in Greater London.

John Lewis operations director Dino Rocos told the Ealing Gazette: ‚ÄúDespite ongoing investment from us in the site, Park Royal no longer gives us the space we need for future expansion.”

The plans are expected to be confirmed when the consultation ends in 2015.
