Hyde approved in Harrow

hyde gp harrow post office siteHyde Group’s plans to build over 300 homes on┬áthe former post office site in Harrow have been approved.

The plans will produce 318 homes across three buildings ranging from eight to twenty storeys on the site which has been vacant for some years. The plans had been recommended for approval by council officers.

Previous site owner Dandara tried on several occasions to gain consent for a residential scheme on the site before selling it to Hyde. Their plans for buildings up to 19 storeys were refused mainly on height grounds, and that they interfered with views of St Mary’s church.
