Hounslow needs schools

Hounslow’s director of regeneration has said the borough needs more school places to satisfy demand that will be produced by its housing programme.

Brendon Walsh, speaking at an Inside Housing conference, said their development pipeline, which could produce 5500 homes by 2019, would generate more children than the current schools could handle.

He said that without funding from central government, Hounslow’s housing programme could “grind to a halt”.
