Hounslow Housing Fortnight kicks off

Dominion_housing_rowans LB Housnlow is trying to support its local housing market by running two weeks of events focussed on helping first-time-buyers get on the ladder, backed up with a glossy magazine available free.

There’s a mix of information events from Council officials, and low-cost and keyworker developers from private sector developers and RSLs. All are at the Town Hall.
This is a welcome attempt by the Council to help developers meet prosective buyers, and could be emulated by other Boroughs.
THe full list of events follows:
Monday 28 July – Dominion Housing Group, who have a mix of 1 and 2 bedroom apartments available at the Rowans, 455  London Road (pictured), 1 and 2 bedroom apartments at The Hamilton’s, on the Hanworth Road, a keyworker -only scheme and Osterley Chase, Wood Lane with a mix of 1, 2 and 3 bedroom apartments.
Wednesday 30 July – Catalyst Housing Group, which has units available at their new development called Nuevo Homes in Bedfont, comprising of 1 and 2-bedroom apartments.
Thursday 31 July – Notting Hill Housing, who have a mix of 1 and 2 bedroom apartments available at 661 London Road, on the London Road, Isleworth, and Bedfont Lakes, Bedfont, comprising of studios, 1 and 2 bedroom apartments where people can buy an affordable share of between 25% and 75% of the property’s full value.
Friday 01 August – A2 Housing, who have 1 and 2 bedroom apartments available in the heart of Feltham Town Centre and 1 bedroom apartments on Hibernia Road in Hounslow, and some 1 and 2 bedroom apartments soon to be completed at Hatton Road in Bedfont.
Monday 04 August – Octavia Housing , who will from July have 1 and 2 bedroom apartments at the Banks Yard, on New Heston Road, Heston.
Wednesday 06 August – Places for People, who from October will have 1 and 2 bedroom apartments for sale on a shared ownership basis at Heath Road, close to Hounslow Train station and near to the Treaty Centre.
Friday 08 August – London Borough of Hounslow/Housing Options,  Sunena Nath, Hounslow Council’s, low cost home ownership officer, will be available to advise about the Council’s Do It Yourself,  Shared Ownership and Cash Incentive schemes.
