The £2.75 million project is being funded by the Mayor’s Outer London Fund, and the council.
Cllr Ruth Cadbury, cabinet member for regeneration at the council, said: “This project will see us breathe much needed new life into the high street, making it a more attractive place for shoppers and businesses alike.
“We are proposing new paving lighting, seating and street trees in the pedestrian part of the High Street, as well as public spaces for socialising and events.
“This is a clear sign that Hounslow is very much open for business, and shows potential investors that the town is moving forward and is a great opportunity for quality development.”
The designs have been put together by David Kohn Architects, and the construction will be carried out by Hounslow Highways. Works are due to take place from April to November 2013 and from January to March 2014. To view the proposals visit www.hounslowhighstreet.com.
