Honeypot Lane approved

British Steel Pension Fund has gained consent for its ‘green’ development at Honeypot Lane.

LB Brent awarded consent last week to the scheme, which invloves the demolition of the commercial units situated at Alpine House, and their replacement with three four-storey blocks and 1 five-storey block.

These contain 120 self-contained flats, 1,823m2 of commercial floorspace (use class B1) and 5 live/work units, with assocated car-parking spaces, bicycle and bin storage.

BSPF claims the development, designed by Loates-Taylor Shammon, will be one of London’s greenest, with 80% less carbon emissions than ‘standard’ homes, achieved through solar water heating and insulation.
