The Edward Cullinan designed Hillside Hub in Stonebridge Park has been shortlisted for a Design Award.
The Hillside Hub in Stonebridge Park was designed by Edward Cullinan Architects for REAL, part of Rydon Homes, and is a mixed use development with homes and a health centre. It has also been shortlisted for the Civic Trust Awards, and won a What House award.
The Brit Insurance Designs of the Year is the Design Museum’s annual exploration of the most innovative, interesting and forward-looking new work in design of all kinds, from around the world.
The nominated designs fall into seven categories – architecture, fashion, furniture, graphics, interactive, product and transport. They can be designed by a practice, team or individual. Also shortlisted in other categories is the “Boris Bike” – the bikes for the recently introduced London Cycle Hire scheme.
A winner for each category will be selected by an international jury and one overall winner is awarded Brit Insurance Design of the Year 2011 at the awards dinner on March 15.
