Hillingdon Council’s new Private Sector Lettings scheme offers landlords a guaranteed rental income.
The PSL scheme involves renting properties through the council to people in need of an affordable place to live. Hillingdon Council say landlords that join PSL benefit from avoiding expensive agency fees and securing a guaranteed rental income for three to five years. If repairs or renovations are needed to bring properties up to a good standard, the council may also be able to help them with accessing grant funding to contribute to the cost.
Cllr Philip Corthorne, Cabinet Member for Social Care, Health and Housing, said: “The Private Sector Lettings scheme is a great deal for landlords across the borough. I would urge them to get in touch and find out how they can reap the rewards of working with a trusted local government partner and have the peace of mind of knowing that they will get a guaranteed rental income.”
At the end of the scheme, landlords can renew their commitment to PSL or ask for their property to be returned to them in the same condition it was in at the start of the scheme.
