LB Hillingdon has launched their local small and medium-sized businesses broadband grant scheme offering businesses up to £3,000 to help get a faster broadband connection.
Kevin Byrne, Head of Policy, Performance and Partnerships at Hillingdon Council, said: “It is good news that funding is now available to help upgrade internet connections to high-speed broadband, usually 30Mbps or more.”
The grants will be allocated on a first-come first-served basis starting from March 2014. Businesses will be able to use vouchers to pay suppliers to install the service.
Funding for high-speed broadband has been made available by the Department for Culture, Media and Sport and the grants are being rolled out across London by the Mayor of London.
