Hillingdon kick off Ruislip improvements

Hillingdon Council is investing £2m in the regeneration of Ruislip Manor town centre, aiming to make it a better place for people to live, work and visit.

Improvements will be made to street lighting, landscaping, seating and pedestrian crossing points. Further work will be undertaken to resurface roads and pavements, introduce cycle stands and replace the current benches and litter bins in the high street.

As part of the programme, local retailers will also benefit from shop front improvements and visual merchandising training.  The council is also encouraging Ruislip Manor businesses to support local students by offering work experience or employing an apprentice from Uxbridge College.

The council secured funding from the Mayor of London’s Regeneration Fund and Transport for London to support the programme for improvements in Ruislip Manor Town Centre.
