Hillingdon helps first timers

LB Hillingdon has helped first time buyers take their first steps on the property ladder through the council’s first time buyers housing scheme.

The scheme invites residents who have lived in the borough for 10 years or more and who have not previously owned their own property, to bid for the chance to buy a new build apartment at 80 per cent of the market value.

A selection of one bedroom apartments were available in the new council development, Elizabeth Court, above South Ruislip Library.

Further opportunities will be available at a new development being completed at Rosedale Court above the new Hayes End Library.

Leader of the Council, Cllr Ray Puddifoot said:   “Not only will it give these first-time buyers the boost they need to own their first home, but it will also support the local housing market.”
