Hillingdon Council has applied for a judicial review of a planning inspector’s decision to approve Tesco’s plans for a Harefield store.
Tesco won approval at appeal for the scheme after four refused applications. The plans for a new Express format store on a site next to the Kings Arms pub in Rickmansworth Road were approved by the planning inspector.
Now the council has applied to the Government, requesting permission that a judicial review be allowed, because, they say, the village is too compact for such a large store, and major traffic problems will materialise if it is built.
