Hillingdon boosts play areas

new playgroundLB Hillingdon is introducing a total of 22 new playgrounds across the borough over the next two years.

The playgrounds will see £1.1million invested in play facilities, the first of which will be completed by Spring 2010. The funding has come from the Department of Children and Families (DCSF). Play England have been brought on board to help deliver the project.

Unlike conventional playgrounds, the play areas will focus on natural play, incorporating the equipment into the natural landscape and surroundings.
