Four out of five members of the public consulted say the King Street redevelopment scheme is “positive”.
81 per cent of respondents, at a three day exhibition in June, agreed that the overall scheme would “have a positive impact on Hammersmith town centre”, says the Council. 8 per cent of respondents disagreed and 11 per cent neither agreed nor disagreed in a poll of over 400 people.
The council hopes the scheme – which would provide 320 new homes, a replacement Council office and a supermarket – will create a new “civic heart” in Hammersmith.
King Sreet Developments – the partnership between Helical Bar and Grainger established to take the development forward – is expected to submit a planning application later in the summer.
