Hammersmith & Fulham Council have restated their opposition to the proposed Mayoral Development Corporation for Old Oak and Park Royal.
As a consultation opens in the borough on plans for the proposed HS2/Crossrail interchange – looking at three options published earlier.
In a statement, the council said they support the regeneration of Old Oak to create “affordable homes and new employment opportunities for local families”. But they said they have made “a formal objection to an unwelcome proposal that would give the Mayor of London planning powers for the whole of the Old Oak regeneration”.
The council believe that taking their planning powers away for the Old Oak area would be “an anti-democratic land grab”.
