The Hammersmith & Fulham Brilliant Business Awards has launched for 2017.
Voting is open for residents and workers to support their favourite local business, while the businesses themselves can enter one or more of 13 Judges Prize categories.
“We’re doing everything we can to give a boost to local traders and our Brilliant Business Awards is a big part of that,” said Cllr Andrew Jones, H&F Cabinet Member for Economic Development and Regeneration.
“We have some amazing traders in H&F – all of whom are key players in our shared mission to make H&F the best place in Europe to do business.”
H&F Council and Imperial College London recently launched our industrial strategy to help us work even more closely with businesses. Close collaboration between academics, businesses, entrepreneurs, and residents will provide fantastic opportunities to the thousands of people who live and work in H&F.
In addition, local entrepreneurs recently joined with H&F Council to unveil ‘Upstream’, a new campaign to make the borough the best place to do business in Europe. Two successful H&F entrepreneurs– Greg Jackson and Sophie Devonshire – spearheaded the campaign and spent nine months listening to local businesses small, medium and large to identify what H&F Council could do to make the borough the best for business.
Green Bay Supermarket in North End Road won the Fulham public vote last year. They had recently opened and were delighted with how the awards had raised their profile.
“It’s fantastic,” said joint owner Anderson Caicedo at the time. “These awards are a great opportunity to get our message across, meet other businesses and engage with the community.”
The winners will be announced at a gala awards evening on Wednesday 15 November. See here for more information or sponsorship opportunities.
