The annual Hammersmith & Fulham Brilliant Business Awards have opened for 2019. The three public vote categories – where the winners are decided by public acclaim – have already had hundreds of votes cast.
The prestigious awards are the highlight of the business year in Hammersmith & Fulham. They not only acknowledge business success but past winners and shortlisted companies say the awards can also ‘open many doors’ for their business.
“We want to make H&F the best place to do business in Europe,” said Cllr Andrew Jones, H&F Cabinet Member for the Economy and the Arts. “Vote today and help shine the light on your favourite local business at this year’s awards.”
The awards form part of H&F Council’s Industrial Strategy which aims to make the borough the best place to live, work and play in Europe.
The public can nominate their favourite businesses in three categories: Best Fulham Business, Best Hammersmith Business, and Best Shepherds Bush Business. Closing date for public nominations is Sunday 10 November. There are also a number of other categories which businesses can choose to enter directly.
The Macbeth Community Cafe picked up the Best Place to Eat award last year. Head chef Mustapha Ben El-Mammar says winning the award has done wonders for the business. “It was fantastic for the business,” said Mustapha. “It was great to be recognised for all the hard work we have put into the cafe over the years.
“After we won the Brilliant Business award, we also had more customers coming over to eat. I would encourage all local businesses to take part in the awards. It can really help your business in so many ways.”
