The Hermitage in Heston – possibly Hounslow’s oldest building – may collapse, according to reports.
The building has been derelict and decaying since a fire in 2003. Now reports suggest it can only last another year or so without attention. The owner, wants to turn it into a care home, but the Council say his present proposals constitute over-development.
Local MP Alan Keen also opposes the development, saying that it should “never” be converted into a care home, adding we certainly dont want the council to give planning permission to anyone else to do anything nasty to it”.
