Heinz to cut Hayes jobs

Heinz is to make 248 office workers redundant, some of who work at the Hayes head office.

Heinz is looking to cut around 10% of its office workforce, and has confirmed to the Hayes Gazette that it is going ahead with implementing a new streamlined structure.

Heinz employs about 2,600 people. It was taken over by American conglomerate Berkshire Hathaway and investors 3G Capital in February, in an £18billion deal.
