Hayes dresses for Christmas

Hillingdon Council’s shopfront improvement scheme continues, with its latest efforts focussed on Hayes.

A total of 30 businesses took part in the latest bit of the scheme, which the council and retail specialists International Visual launched in Hayes to boost business as part of a continuing programme of encouraging retail improvement in Hayes. Two thirds of these took part in a Christmas window dressing competition.

The scheme is due to be introduced in Ruislip Manor at the end of January.

Businesses may also be eligible for a grant of up to £4,800 to improve their shopfronts, thanks to a successful bid by Hillingdon Council from the Outer London Fund. New surfacing works to shop frontage areas will also be carried out using the cash.
