Harrow’s OLF programme continues

xmas 2011LB Harrow’s town centre revitalisation programme continues with a late night shopping event where goodie bags full of offers from the town centre’s top retailers will be handed out to the first 1,000 shoppers.

Both St Ann’s and St George’s shopping centres will open late on Thursday 15th December The event follows a series of others, funded by the council’s successful bid to the Outer London Fund.

The Mayor of London Boris Johnson, who set up the Outer London Fund to help rejuvenate and boost London’s high streets and town centres said: “Our local town centres and high streets have a huge part to play in London ‘s future economic growth so I’m delighted that we’ve been able to support  Harrow town centre’s exciting plans for the festive season through my Outer London Fund.”

Harrow Council received £496,000 to increase spend and footfall in Harrow Town Centre. Initiatives funded include town centre management, events, visual merchandising, banners, pop ups shops, environmental improvements, festive lights, and work placements for young people.
