Harrow Council have set up a panel to help revitalise Wealdstone and Harrow town centres.
The panel is made up of urban designers and master planners who will advise the council on a plan to attract more business, jobs, homes and social facilities. Reports say the panel will work with the Council and the GLA to consult with local businesses, youth and community groups, developers and partners to prepare a plan for Harrow and Wealdstone. A draft plan is expected to go out for public consultation early next year.
Councillor Keith Ferry, portfolio holder for Planning and Economic Development on Harrow Council, told the Harrow Observer: “This is the start of a long, but important project to deliver that and revitalise the heart of our borough so that it punches above its weight in north (sic) London.”
